I feel so stressed, I could snap!

Are you in a situation that causes you huge stress? Is the pressure with you most of the time? Is it a situation you can not control, as you are in other people's hands?

You have done everything you can do and still there is only little progress. You are under time pressure and if you don't get your desired outcome, you will loose a great opportunity, money or something else of importance.

The stress is so high, you feel you might snap. You are living in a state of fear and tension.

Are you thinking that you need the stress to get the situation resolved?

Do you feel it is a way of helping the outcome appear sooner?

If so, are you consciously choosing this with all your heart to feel this stressed? Or are you saying you can't help the stressy feelings, it's normal and you can't do anything about it?

If there was something you could do to feel better, would you try it?

If you feel you have no choice, you are identified with the fear/stress and you have only used your mind to solve this tense situation.

To get away from the identification, start asking some questions, this is always the first step to getting to a new point of view, which is vitally important to find a solution.

So let's ask. What is this stress? What is the dominant feeling?

Where does it come from? What are you thinking that causes this feeling?

Stress always comes from a fear, from a need for something. If that need does not materialise, there will be a big loss, (this might be your fear). That loss, in this moment of time, feels like the end of your life as you like it to be. Experiencing that loss would be very scary or devastating, you might believe.

But will all be lost for sure? Can you actually know what will be, if .....

You do not really know, what will happen, do you? Can you do a little exercise and zoom out of that situation, far far away from it, up into the atmosphere, and look down onto it?

Do that now if you can ...... how does that feel to be up in the atmosphere, far far away from it all? Make a mental note of it and share it in the commend box. I'd love to hear your experience.

So realise now, that all your attention has been on the loss or devastation, right? Your mental pictures are most likely showing you what you do not want, yes? Those pictures keep the tension alive. You have gone around in circles hundreds of times now in your mind with the same unwanted outcome, haven't you?

And are you ready to stop now? And do something different?

When you are not feeling in harmony or in peace, there is something else that needs to be done that you have not yet done or looked at. Because there is always a way to come back to Peace.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL STRESSED.

The solution is to look at what you want to see or experience with your mind's eyes. To choose thoughts that make you feel better like "It always works out fine"," I let go and trust it will all be perfect", " I have done my best and allow myself to relax now". "I value myself and see others value me too". "I focus on a perfect outcome."

The second step is to turn away from the mental picture, the situation and the dreaded outcome and to stop the fearful thinking by becoming aware of it. See a large STOP sign in front of your eyes when those fearful thoughts come up and then redirect your thinking to the outcome you desire, create a new mental picture.

This takes some effort, but it is a MUST do! You can not allow yourself to feel stressed or hang out in the fear realm. It is harmful to your body and entire being.

Stress and fear contracts us, closes us down, limits our inner vision, makes us feel unwell and new thoughts or solutions can not come in.

Our mind can not solve the situation. So we have to let go.

Returning to our breathing and to our Heart and inner Peace as often as the fearful thoughts come along brings you back into your body and the NOW moment. We have to take back our control over our life and not allow our mind to dictate what will be!

Fear feels so real, so gripping and therefore we believe in it. But it is our ego that tells us to feel this way, not our Heart, and it is adamant that it needs to feel stressed and that there is nothing we can do about it.

So come back to your deep breathing, focusing on your Heart, being here in the present time and feel totally consumed by it, as if there will not be another moment. Savour it .............. and then share how that feels in the comment box below.
